                                            Brave, powerful, determined, hardworking.

                                            Wife of John Tubman, mother of Gertie Davis.

            Who loved freedom, loved helping others, and loved living up to her dream of freeing slaves. 

                                 Who felt pain, betrayed slave owners, and loved saving people.

         Who feared that she would be caught, feared to be a slave again, and feared her family would be found hurt.

Who escaped slavery, freed herself along with 300 other slaves, and made it possible so after her, 100,000 slaves could be freed. 

                                           Who wanted freedom of all, peace, and equality. 

                            Born in dorchester County, Maryland, and passed in Auburn, New York.
